House of Aroha is a family owned and operated design led business. eHOA design department is headed by Rakai Karaitiana, who has worked in the creative industries for ten years. Rakai enjoys working in the varied fields of design including photograpy, type design, web development and print media.
Rakai lives in Napier with wife Melaina and three children, Nash, Haromi te Ata and Awatea. Melaina has a background in photography and has exhibited internationally. Melaina with her mother Zena and Rakai own and operate Aroha Lamour, a New Zealand design focussed concept store in Napier.
